Is Steve Smith still a top tier reciever?

It's easy to blame our qb play and coaching for Smitty's decline in production, but can it be that Smith is just not an elite reciever anymore?

I think he has lost half a step from his height in 2005. I think he can still be a top ten wide out if he has a decent QB.

No, he's not elite, but he's still very valuable if motivated. Basically, if he asks to be traded because he wants to play for a contender, then accommodate him. If he doesn't ask to leave, then play him until he retires.

Tied for 2nd (NFC) in 2010 with 8 drops.

Then again, not playing with the best QB's.

Then again, not really doing much to help Clausen out.

    Then again, BFF with JR.

Then again, assaulted two teammates from 2002-2008.

Productive, and I still think he has one of those 1400y, 10td seasons in him. Keep the bitch happy and get him a QB that he likes, and play ball.

Or, trade him for actual value (foreign concept to Mr. Hurney, I know), while you still can and move on.
