Is Jake the problem?

    Well part of the disagreement is my belief that coaches can do relatively little when it comes to changing adults. But bigger than that, there's essentially nothing to fix if the players aren't screwing up. And if they're screwing up as professionals, that's obviously their problem. Basically you can't blame someone for not fixing a problem until the problem appears, so the players are always going to be principally at fault. If there is coaching blame to go around, it will be in addition to the faults of the players, not in replacement of them.


    And I wish someone would notice what I keep pointing out, that when Jake attempted to throw to other receivers against Seattle, more often than not he was horribly inaccurate with his throws. No, the guys weren't getting wide open, but those passes would have been completed with even a reasonable degree of accuracy. Unfortunately Jake was just shitty all around last Sunday.

    You throw the ball away. Over and over. A punt is not a bad thing.
