is it just me?

or have the NFL refs been absolutely horrible this year?

Today especially - phantom calls - picking up flags, its just been horrible.

If they are trying to "control" the game it's backfiring - they are pissing off the players and coaches with the crappy calls.

Billick is livid tonight and Fox was today.

 

No it not just you .John FoX had every reason to be mad at the refs

 

Ravens got robbed.

 

Someone need to tall the refs that there job is not help one team or anther win

 

they do seem to be bad this year, could be the BIG BROTHER effect from the replays or the fact that they're not hired on as full timers. that never seemed to make a difference in the past though. that crew at our game today stunk...for both teams imo.

 

I dunno, when I think it was peppers got called for roughing the passer and you saw the olineman pulling him away from johnson by the arm that was a little much.

 

Nope, they're substandard, and will continue to be so until the league pulls its collective head out and hires full-time officials who train year-round.

 

Did somebody forget to pay them off this week? Since we won, I assumed they'd been paid, but I know I didn't do it (it wasn't my turn this week).
