but yeah, part of me's not thinking so heavily about this game this week. I think having a team that's this up and down just makes it so unreliable to expect anything out of them, and that's really disheartening coming into a "win and you're in" situation.

That was last year. I think we were hoping for a little more this year like maybe already having a post season spot even if only a wildcard. Right now, we don't have that and could be sitting on the couch 1/2/06 like many others.

That's a real good point Smashmouth. If we get in the playoffs everybody is basically 0-0. It starts a whole new season. I was pretty bummed Saturday but then I realized that Sunday could be the last Panthers game of the season. And it's a long cold winter until trout season opens.

this team is more frustrating than the 1-15 team. At least we knew week to week that we sucked.

I'm heading to Hilton Head for the week. Coming home Saturday. Gonna golf, eat, golf some more, and eat some more.

Until 'round noon Sunday, no worries. Honestly, no worries anyway.

We play as well on the road as we do at home. The last two at home in particular. If the draw is Giants in round one, it will be another challenge. Just like St. Louis in 2003. If we draw Chicago in round two, again...another challenge. Kinda like that NFC title game in 2003.

Atlanta is a bad football team right now. It's like Chris Draft said about Atlanta owning Carolina.....None of that shit matters right now. Draft never lost to Atlanta. Neither did Lucas. TD. McCree.

It's a new year. I will say this: The crowd Sunday will be nice and soft.

I was so done with football after this weekend. I'm not even a little excited about this weekend cause even if we win we should be out after week one.

Sure, the inconsistency is frustrating. I'm also perplexed at the lack of a running game. But we are 10-5. I was yelling at the TV like an idiot last Saturday and will be doing the same this Sunday. I would not be doing that if we were 1-15 again (yes, I would still have interest in rooting for our team, but its not the same). We have been blessed with 3 seasons in a row where the last game of the season matters. My ass will be in front of the TV from 1 o'clock until we have either clinched or been eliminated from the playoffs. This is what watching football is all about.

    Interesting scheduling note:

    Panthers game at 1
    Washington game at 4
    Dallas game at 8:30

I yell at the TV every week. Including parts of that 16th game in 01.

But yeah, luckily FF is over, and the WAS/DAL games are on at other times, so at the party we're going to on the 1st, we don't have to worry about the asshats changing the game to see what so-and-so is doing for goober's FF team, or arguments because "my family's been watching Washington for years" and other shit.
I hate this area's allegiances so much sometimes. I hope there's no fucking Miami game on either.

I've been thru with football every Monday (except after the Pats and Falcon games). It goes away by Wednesday afternoon and I convince myself that we will never lose another game for the remainder of the season.
