Memphis. They are relatively close in proximity. They have Shane Battier and will possibly draft Dunleavy. And they aren't very good so no one can accuse me of being bandwagon.

Just sit tight, we should be up and running here in Charlotte by the 2005 season.

If New Orleans keeps the "Hornets" name, which I thought they were...

We could be called The Charlotte Chuggers and our logo could be a mug of beer... :D

i was thinking the same thing, Sly. Battier was always kinda the man (the wrinkles wig me out a little though) and they've still got Jason Williams, too, right? Just think, Battier, Dunleavy and (the other, more redneck) Jason Williams together again (sorta).

I'm sure the band wagon has already left... Jerry West sealed it. If they can play make the playoffs next year, they'll make it over the hump. The Clips were the buzz team for the last couple years and haven't turned it around yet. They've sorta lost that vibe. I see it as landing in Memphis.

I think the NBA owns rights to the name "Charlotte Hornets" and can make NO change the name since there seesm to be a chance of Charlotte getting a team back.

I'm personally jumping back on my Chicago Bulls bandwagon.

With Eddie Curry and Tyson Chandler getting much better as the year went along; Jalen Rose's leadership and skills, AND Jay Williams running the point (after the Bulls draft him), this team will be challenging for the playoffs within 2 years.

I don't expect a miracle overnight - I'm guessing they will challenge for 7th or 8th spot in the playoffs within 2 years.

I hate Isiah Thomas and I hate Reggie Miller, but for some reason, I found myself cheering for the Pacers! I think it's cuz I grew to admire Ron Artest's game when I had him on my Fantasy Team. He's quite a player (and a little nuts). I'm not sure if this summer will cure me or if I'll folow them next season...

But of course, I'm still a Hornets fan. I live in Los Angeles, so it's not a city thing... New Orleans... Charlotte... whatever, they're both basically "far away"...
