this season is over.. Vinny and Carr wont be here next year. agree start Moore. I dont care if he loses every game.

I would probably start McClover,DJ, Deangelo. I wouldnt start Kalil or Johnson but he(CJ) needs some playing time.

So you want to start Moore but are bringing Testaverde into it?

As for fighting for his job (edit:eek:ops), one could take the position that sticking with those same 11 guys got us in this mess, and playing a new guy might give us a better chance to win. If only someone had beat someone out already; I think Fox is putting the guys out he deems best on that day (and it's exactly what he ought to be doing).

But my point is...why should you expect Fox to give a rat's ass about evaluating talent for next year when you want him gone? And BTW, we have been competitive in the games Vinny has started and finished, right up until the end. So, if you're worried about getting blown out, it makes sense to start Vinny anyway.

Besides that, you don't have a fucking clue what's going on in practice...Moore could be lost in the sauce, and it would hurt his development more than help it, to start him. Fox could actually be doing Moore a favor by making him wait. There is no way any fan could know what's going on with him.

I don't know where you'd get that, I must not have expressed myself very well.

Case by case, game by game. Certainly I wouldn't take the same position if we're 4-10, but in some guys' cases, for whatever reason, I may want them to play rather than use the game for evaluation for next year' s sake (as I mentioned re Hartwig).

Actually, I'm making this my last game this year and I am going to the game since I have a free ticket. I would love to see a win at home just to see one. Dammit.

yes. Fuck all this defeatist bullshit. The people who say they want to win the most are the ones that give up the fastest.

if you're going to start moore, you have to start your best offensive line (even if they're not so good). you can't throw kalil and moore out there together. you can't start jarrett with him either. if he starts a real game, he needs our starting offense with him. he'll need all the help he can get.
