No football in 2011 = no reason to worry.

If there's a rookie salary scale, trading down a few spots would be easier and what I'd hope for.

If there's a rookie salary scale I have no problem staying at #1

Qualifier: I wouldn't be saying this if we didn't have a GM whose future picks have burned a hole in his pocket for the last few years.

If there's not a guy who is clearly head and shoulders above the rest then we need to take advantage of the first time the salary isn't such a negative factor for a team trading up; drop down a few spots and get some extra pick booty.

I have tried for 3 miserable months to consider how Clausen could evolve and become a consistent performer in the NFL.

I have yet to see anything that proves to me that he's any better than Chris Weinke ever was at any point. His pocket awareness is severely lacking, he has absolutely no leadership qualities and, frankly, he telegraphs every throw with his ridiculously long wind-up.

Reason Moore had "some" success was he was a natural leader, had good pocket presence, and had a very quick release--very similar to Romo.

Clausen is not only bad, he's uber-bad. So bad, that he might be off the roster in 2012.

Luck/Newton or a veteran FA. Jesus, just someone who's not a fucking retard that can get the ball to 89, hand the ball off to dominant running backs, and give the damn defense a fighting chance.

    Fuck, I hate Clausen.
