    ...this will never happen again.

there is only one FIRST SUPER BOWL in your life.

soak it up, let the week go by slowly.

when sunday at 6:25 rolls around, this magical ride will be over in a matter of a few hours -- win or lose.

    win and there's a party.

    lose and it's "what if".

but even if the panthers make the superbowl next season, it will never, ever be the same as this year.

stop looking at the clock and enjoy.

When the game ended in Philly, I decided that I wouldn't think about the next game for a week. Just wanted to enjoy being NFC champs. Now, I will take this week to really get hyped up. It won't take a lot.

I've been enjoying it, when allowed.
I've specifically dropped most of the proactive draft talk during the offseason, I've left most of my own analysis to pre- and post-. It's been a fun ride and while I can see an eagerness to get to it, I'm still damn well enjoying the last win and hope the team's pushing to get that feeling again.

    Keep in mind too :) . . .

-The Lions, Browns, Jaguars, Saints, Cards, Texans & Seahawks are still waiting for their first trip. Cards have gone the longest without any type of title (NFC Championship pre SB Era); F-O-R-E-V-E-R (If I'm wrong, please correct me :) !!!!!!!!!)

-The Jets haven't been back since 1969, Chiefs since 1970, Colts since 1971. Vikings haven't been back since 1977!!!!! Folks who were following these team back then are probably close to retirement age now . . . Scary, ain't it :) ? Just because you go once there's no guarantee of an immediate return trip in the near future!!!!!

-Saints & Cards have never even sniffed a Conference Title game (post 1970 merger). Their wait continues for another year . . .

-Ravens are the fastest expansion team** to win a Super Bowl (5 years). Dolphins were next quickest with 6 (They joined NFL in 1966). Winning our first Super Bowl in 9 years would tie us with the Jets (Started with AFL in 1960 as the Titans; Became the Jets in 1962, won SB3 in 1969)

**Yeah, yeah the are the old Browns, but the NFL technically counted the Ravens as an expansion team to preserve the Browns history & records

Certainly enjoy the ride guys . . . YOu never know when when the Cats will get back there :) !!!!! Scary to think that the Jets have been living off 1 SB title for over 35 years, Chiefs for 34 years!!
