This is from the War Room. Somebody be smoking something.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

"Florida State offensive tackle Alex Barron continues to be the most talked about player on the Pro Day circuit. One club compared him athletically to the Seahawks' Walter Jones. Another is talking about him in the same breath as the Ravens' Jonathan Ogden. :umno: But Barron will be both a product of and a victim of the circumstances surrounding this draft.
The draft is so weak at offensive tackle, and Barron has had such strong workouts, that teams are overlooking some of his inconsistent play and his lack of a "football-first mentality," and have overvalued his draft grade. Many teams have Barron as their highest-rated player overall. :rotflmao:
That's the good news for Barron. The bad news is the first team with a clear-cut first-round need at the position is the Texans at No. 13. Look for Houston to try to trade up for Barron if he slips beyond the fifth

    pick."

    :yikes:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just hope :1panthers are NOT one of the teams he talked to.

I’d be thrilled (and relieved) if Barron went in the top 13. Hell, I hope Barnes and Jammal Brown go in the top 13 too . . . what team(s) above us needs a LT so badly that they would reach and gamble with their first pick?

If someone could ever tap into his talent Barron could be a monster.... that's a BIG IF.

I think drafting Joe Namath would be a mistake for one I've heard his knees are shot and two I think hes retired

Any defensive end or corner. We have a lot of money tied up in both positions and should be solid at those two positions as much as any team in the league.

    Louie Scheck.

I don't care how much he tore up Division III, a club-footed punter is a huge gamble, even in the seventh round. Let someone else take that chance. If he doesn't get drafted, bring him into camp as a free agent.

honorable mention: Dollface and her worn out long snapper.

Louie has potential and he grew up in the area. He would require an additional 15K seats just to accomodate his followers.
