    Kasay is just about done for IMO. The only trouble is, where do you find someone better. Still a kicker in that situation ought to perform that kind of high percentage kick. Oh well he did kick the low percentage 51 yarder.

    Viniteri(sp?) missed a short one and had another blocked. Stuff happens to the best of 'em.

    Kicker in the 1st round, followed by backup long snapper, then a w-w-w-w-w-waterb-b-b-b-oy in the 3rd. :D

    Kasay's KO was only one of about 50 mistakes. And our D was so gassed they probably would have scored anyway. They would have called different plays if they were farther back.

    We played a CLEARLY SUPERIOR team down to the wire. I wish we would have won, but I'm very proud of this team. People will be talking about what a great game this was for a long time.

    I don’t agree with that broad of a damning statement. Superior coaching and preparation tonight but our TEAM is not "inferior". If anyone could be considered superior in some way it’s their O-line and QB coaches. Brady couldn’t possibly be “all that” without some serious guidance, and whoever got that underpaid no-name line ready to manhandle our high priced big diamond earring wearing D-line is Godlike.

    i agree with most of your posts Ide, but we did not get beat by a clearly superior team. we have a damn good team and can stand with anyone, including the Pats. we have a better QB, WR, pass rush, RBs. i thought too OL until the game was played.

    too, too many mistakes. lots by guys that probably won't be around next year ...
    some by guys like Kasay, Jenks and James that you'd never expect them from

    after the game, it sounded like Fox might be looking for some DB help this offseason

    they had us outschemed at the beginning of the game but we adjusted well and went to the pass early, which is something i thought i'd never see this team do.

    The Patriots won it with a 41 yd field goal with 8 seconds left to play. I wouldn't count them as SUPERIOR than the Panthers.

    Basically, whoever had the ball last won the game. By the end, I think that the defenses were too tired out and the offenses were on a groove.
