    Hey OOS,

Seriously, I know they have to 'put down' injured horses, how many times have you seen it happen. I know your family is in the business and I was just curious.

I've been lucky and I've never witnessed it. I've seen horse basically stop running due to pulling a muscle etc.........but nothing that wouldn't heal. We're into harness racing.......I've seen some bumps and wrecks but the drivers have gotten more injured than the horses.

The only horse I can think of from the track we stable at that was put down was due to a scratch it got on its leg when they turned it out in the field for a month of rest. Freak accident thing.......it got a scratch..........the scratch got infected. They stabled the horse and called the vet. He treated it for a while with no success. They took the horse to the Ohio State Vet. campus - it had several surgeries and it finally had to be put down. It was pretty sad.....just a wierd accident.

Excuse me then, where is the NASCAR forum? We will stop taking up valuable space so you can talk about tennis.
