:wtf23: I sit in a lower section and have since day 1. If you had tossed your name in the PSL lottery when it all first started in 1995, it was not that expensive. Even drove to Clemson for the games there.

And I am offended by those like you who assume that everyone in the lower sections are wine and cheese fans while everyone in the upper sections are the only "true" fans. I am out in the same weather as the upper seats every game. I stand and yell 100% when our defense is on the field. I try and get everyone else in the section up too. You won't find a truer Panther fan in the entire stadium.

If you want wine and cheese, look at the luxury suites and club seats. Or better yet, do us all a favor and trade in your Panthers tickets for Bobcat tickets, lower section.

Yeah, I'm gd sensitive over weenies who are going to whiff about the stadium's rules because those rules won't let them do what they want, blaming the BOA rules on the fans in the lower sections AND grossly implying that everyone in the lower sections aren't fans at all.

I am going to the game. Looking at Ebay the lower level seats (not Club) are going for on average around 100.00. They are worth more to me than that. Like I said my daughter could care less. I'll' bring her home a couple of Anime books and she will be thrilled

Actually my folks sit in lowers and are huge fans as are many others there. I was referring only to those who come to be seen and don't care about the game and we have some of those in the uppers as well. Sorry you took it personally. Bottom line is, love them or hate them, PSL owners ARE a big part of why there's a team in the Carolinas. One of the problems with PSLs is those seats owned by companies rather then individuals - yup they helped build the stadium as much as anyone, but often you have fans of opposing teams in those or people who just want to check out an NFL game - nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't always put "fans" in the seats.

One of the issues with selling a ticket (PSL) to any given game is as the seat "owner", you're responsible for the party who sits in your seat, even if that person is a complete stranger. Technically if I sell my ticket to someone who goes, gets plastered and is an idiot I could lose my seat license. I would imagine that you can "plead your case" and not really lose your ticket, but I know some folks will let their seat be empty if they can't find someone they know well to take it. We're lucky that when my sister has an extra (which has been most games this year since her boyfriend is being a poop) either my step daughter goes or guys I know on boards have wanted them.

Sorry you were offended, wasn't saying everyone down there is not a fan - lots of guys here are down there and big fans!

The only corporation that owns my two seats are Mr and Mrs PantherPaul Inc. In 11 years I have missed 3 games none in Clemson

Malapoo, my apologies I took off on ya. I have seen posts on other boards along the same lines and I guess I was just tired of reading it. :blah:

My seats are right next to the visitors' tunnel so we always have fans from the other team by us and most of us get along ... a little ribbing here and there depending soley on the beer consumption. We were swamped by Bucs fans last game; at the end they were letting them down, which is a good thing at the end of the games, especially the children.

Weyerhauser has 2 seats behind us so there's different people every game almost. But I don't let them get away with just sitting!

BOA is actually getting a rep as a loud, difficult place to play!!

I think you're a bit sensitive to this because the MAJORITY of fans in the lower bowl aren't very good at cheering etc. When this is mentioned doesn't necessarily mean you or your family or whatever. The fact is very few of them get excited about the game play. I've been both up top and down low, and expect for the view I prefer up top. It seems the fans intermingle better. You talk smack with rival team's fans more, but in the end they'll shake your hand and buy you a beer. The atmosphere up top is a better fan atmosphere. That doesn't mean there is no one in the lower bowl cheering, but the ratio of people that do favors the upper bowl.

    :agreed:
I've only been down there once, but I couldn't believe that I was actually getting dirty looks for cheering loudly (I didn't even stand up because I didn't want to block someone's view). I think certain people in the uppers can get too obnoxious (Third Down Man), but it's definitely much more of a fan atmosphere.
