true enough, I just hope we hit on more than we did in 04. I do want to improve at S, and we should be able to do something at TE, before the draft.

Yeah, touting the 5-1 NFC South record is nothing more than a way of trying to convince oursevles that we were better than we really were (at least that's the way it is for me). Fact is we snuck away with a 2 point win at TB even with Simms going out. The second TB game Gradkowski was horrid. The New Orleans home win showed how we can collapse in the 4th quarter giving up 15 points and almost blowing a game we controlled for 3 quarter....but could not score points. But hey....just saying we were 5-1 in the Division sounds great!!

Ahman Green got $23 million over four years from the Texans. $8 million up front. Kubiak has lost his mind.

Dewayne White got $29 over five years with $13 guaranteed from the Lions. Peppers must be worth $200 million....

Shows how good a deal we made for Stephen Davis back in 2003. We road him to the Super Bowl and his deal did not kill us when he got hurt and faded. Green is basically in that phase of his career imho.....maybe they get 1 possibly 2 good years and that's it.

I've read the Saints board and they think Brian Simmons is ready to sign there. True or not I don't know. Ken Hamlin is due there today or tomorrow. They seem to be getting revved up to improve that defense. A good defense to go with that offense is not a good thing for the Panthers (or Falcons and Bucs for that matter)...

Davis has more left when we signed him IMHO. Davis had been productive the whole time he was with the skins until he hurt his arm. Green has been on a slow decline for several years.

If we get our offense on track I am not worried about any team in our division.

I about choked heading up to Chapel Hill when I heard that yesterday. He is so far over the hill it's ridiculous. I am sure Dom Davis is real happy.

I am really glad we do not have the cap space to be big players this year. These deals are crazy. The Texans just guaranteed themselves some dead money. I thought we over paid Foster but he was a bargain compared to that.
