I am reading alot of smack talking and abunch of other sh thast just getting ridiculous, so I'd like to try and change the pace a bit. Alot of knowledge of what actually happens in hockey comes from learning how to play it, and I encourage everyone who is not currently playing to play, whether your novice, a little experienced, or very experienced.

How many of you have ever played hockey and for how long? (And I don't care if its just been street hockey, rec league, or what?)

As for myself:

I was born and raised into ice hockey and have played for as long as I can remember. As of late, I have only played in the adult ice hockey leagues around Charlotte.

But I also played for the past two seasons with the Atlantic Collegiate Roller Hockey Association 2001-2002 Champions UNC-Charlotte 49ers, winning the title with them as a defenseman and assistant coach. Next year I will be head coach.

Never played before. Probably cause I never been ice skating before either. Too old to start now. :)

You ever jumped out of a airplane over Cambodia ?

you people should realize that you should not talk about sports unless you have played them. You dont see anyone that has never played football talk about football. You dont see anyone talk about basketball, baseball and racing unless they have actually done it. Get a grip people:rolleyes:

Hey king..you are asking to get flamed with this thread. Maybe you should think about deleting it or rewording it.

I have through in the city league where I grew up...

The thing about hockey is that it is expensive. You have to buy your own pads, skates, sticks, etc. You have to pay to be part of the league and part of that pays for ice time for practices...which isn't cheap. You have to buy your own uniform and practice uniforms. We played other teams all over the state and had to pay for lodging, gas, food, etc when we traveled. If you are a growing kid, then you have to get new stuff every year. Without a doubt, it is the most expensive prep sport.

If this is your logic, we can assume you won't be making any posts about having sex...with women anyway.

Hey, I've never played hockey at a rink, but I've played NHL 2000 tons of times on my PC . . . Does this make me an NHL expert like Bill Clement and Al Morganti :) ? ? ?
