    Not really a basketball fan, but...

    The NBA has a reputation as being a "thug" league. In reality, the NFL is just as bad if not worse. Also, if racial prejudice is an issue, there seems to be more white players now than there was in the 90's.

    The problem is that the NBA is popular in the black culture, therefore many white people actively dislike it by default. Also, there's this idiotic notion that a kid should go to college rather than accept a multi-million dollar contract. Nobody complains about baseball players doing the same thing.

    Personally, I can't follow the league because I can't past the fact that our team is actually named the Bobcats.

    Those white players for the most part aren't Americans. There are a couple of white americans starting to do decent like Kirk Heinrich but the white players are coming from Europe.

    I have no problem with that but the players should be held to a higher standard than a fan. When you are making millions of dollars to play a game then you should be expected to control your temper. If Doctors or lawyers attacked clients what would happen? They would probably lose their licenses. NBA players are supposed to be professionals as well.

    I don't know of too many people of any profession who would let someone attack them and just let it slide. Just cause you're a millionaire don't mean you can't defend yourself or your family.

    If some fan heckles you or throws a drink at you then you should be able to resist the urge to attack. If a fan comes out on the court then defend yourself until security gets there but never go into the seats.

    hey freakshow, talk about thugs? how many gamecock players have been arrested in the past few years? multiple offenders for the following: drugs, DUI,vandalism,domestic violence, burglary, stealing computers, pictures & trophies, bar fight, etc. and the melee at clemson. last time I checked they got tats and rows too
