We had our moments, but it wasn't consistently loud on third downs.

Could be because it seemed like every time it got loud the Saints converted though :(

Maybe, but unless they turned it down between opening kickoff and the second half, the crowd was pretty damn quiet down the stretch.

FOX's levels are consistent throughout the entire broadcast. Like I said, Fox is the worst of the four networks in terms of capturing crowd noise. ESPN is probably the best (that's one thing they have going for them).

NBC's package is impressive. Crisp production values, above-average talent (Many hate Collinsworth, but he serves his purpose as the raging idiot). If ESPN would swap Tirico out for Nessler, they would be better off. Tirico has a certain Pam Ward quality about him.

I go to every home game, and it was loud (relative to the venue)

Speaking of mic levels, NBC's crowd/field mics were totally obnoxious last night. Made me change the channel.

Admittedly, the crowd died down somewhat during the 3rd quarter, but there wasn't exactly much to be loud about. It was turning into a boring game, on both sides. But when the team needed the crowd, they rose to the occasion. A lot of thanks to the officials, as well, because those shitty calls and no-calls generated some good 4th quarter noise.

I am bringing my decibel meter into the next game and will take measurments on the key plays. I will then compare it to Baltimore in a couple of weeks.

Use it when Ray Ray is out there prancing around brfore the game and it'll be off the charts.
