    3rd best in percentage because Seattle had few attempts and almost never trusted him to attempt anything beyond 50. He is not a good kicker.

    I'm not opposed to upgrading anywhere, but Mare isn't an upgrade over Kasay, and it seems that this was handled very poorly by the front office.

    Look at recent history...last 3 years:

    Kasay 75/87 (86%) w/43 makes over 40 yds
    Mare 73/83 (88%) w/25 makes over 40 yds

    So Mare had a slightly better % but only 34% of his makes were over 40 whereas 57% of Kasay's makes were over 40.

    To me this is all about an extra roster spot for one of our youngsters...
