Holy **** . . . A WFNZ Billboard Ad Sighting (M-A-Y-B-E) !!!!!

Driving to the Central Y today on I-277 (John Belk Freeway) and off to my left over by the CCB branch over by CPCC (forgot the exact street it is . . . Independence Blvd maybe ? ? ) I T-H-O-U-G-H-T I saw a small billboard which had WFNZ's logo on it; I was too far away, and driving too fast, obviously to see exactly what was on it. But if this is true, are the corporate suits in NYC finally letting the station spend a little bit of money in promoting the station now ? ? ? ? Hmmmm, if that's the case, perhaps that long promised signal boost up to 50K watts will take place within the next 5 years !!!!!!!!!

I can confirm your sighting, sds. The billboard sits of Graham Street, just after you go under I-277. It specifically mentions the Morning sports Page .I go home that way every day, and yesterday was the first time I noticed it. A signal boost would be great, since I usually lose their signal just north of Salisbury.

Don't they have to buy out the 610 frequency in the surrounding areas to legally boost their signal?

I remember five years ago when I first moved to Charlotte, sorta. I listened to FNZ and they were talking about boosting their signal.
