Magnus, if we bring in Harbaugh as our next Head Coach, who do you see him bringing in as possible OC/DC and other assistants?

    Well, yeah...

but ATL, NYJ, BAL, and TB have rookies or almost-rookies. And they all - except TB - did pretty well when they were actual rookies.

Is our rookie just a bad pick - again - or is there some truth to the claim that Scherer really does ruin every QB he gets near?

hard to say. Unfortunately both of the guys I could think of? They're 3-4. He currently has our old DC Vic Fangio (who did run a 4-3 in Indy, I believe), and he's got history with Rob Ryan, who might be out on his ass. Ryan's run a 4-3 as well, but both he and Fangio seem more stuck on a 3-4.

Same issue with the other offensive guys - Weis, Schottenheimer (who might have an in with Phillips), Grimm.

This seems like a realistic possibility. The offensive pendulum would swing completely to the other side, giving us creativity that we haven't seen in a long time - and maybe a way for Hurney to validate/justify the A. Edwards decision. Everyone seems to think its Cowher or Harbaugh, but the fan consensus (ex-TBR) won't likely turn into reality.

The switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 takes much more time than the average fan realizes. I had to learn this lesson with my college team this year - hard lesson. In my experience, the NT, DEs and OLBs are the hardest transitions/replacements.

Schottenheimer + Phillips + Dareus + opening the wallet to compete using a 3-4 makes for a very intriguing 2011 season.

I dunno if Schottenheimer is anything specifically that creative. He does interesting things with tricks and wildcat, but not unlike Fox, I'm sure Ryan has input on things like that and the deep shots. I'm also still worried about how much of the O is Callahan's, given that he's experienced and his part is the one that works.

Phillips would be a fine DC, I just don't like the 3-4 thing. We have like no one that really fits outside our ILBs, one of which would inevitably not be the same player.
