Hinges

    A couple of months ago I built a solid oak chest. I made the top rails inset about 1/2" from the posts on each corner. I have tried to use a piano hinge but because of the offset the hinge will not reach the rail to screw down to. The posts on each corner hold the top away from the rail. Any body have any suggestions? Thanx

    Use about 6 offset kitchen cabinet hinges.

    leather straps. pound them in with rusy nails. gives it a distrssed look.
