Too bad he chose to air the laundry in public the last couple of years, a lot of people will remember that just as much as his play on the field.

wow. Collin and I disagree on this one.

At any rate, yeah, he didn't have to be so blunt in telling people why he hastily ended his career months before his team went on to greater success without him. To me, a journalist owes his viewer to be less personal about the subject, not more.

His talking after he left does not bother me as much as that he probably did a lot to undermine the coaching staff and his QB. Eli's leadership qualities seemed to be much greater when Tiki left. The team seemed to buy into what Coughlin was selling once Tiki was gone.

he had every right to say what he did. I don't know that he did anything "wrong". But it puts some insight into his decision, and doesn't put him in a good light.
It could be taken vindictively. At either end, the team certainly didn't seem to agree with him in the end.

Why? Because they won football games? In fact, other Giants like Strahan made comments similar to Tiki's.

Undoubtedly there were comments. There were comments before the first game was played under him.

This is a natural and logical reaction to have. Any time a high profile player retires and then the team wins a championship, it's counterintuitive and certainly makes people wonder. When that player kicks and fights, and leaves before people would think he's truly done, it's going to raise eyebrows.

the dude was best known for his fumbles before Coughlin showed up anyway.....and Coughlin even fixed that. i know all about the Strahan thing before the season began and the kinder, gentler, newer Coughlin. bfd

my thing is that Barber walked with some tread still left on the tires. he seemed to infer that Coughlin was the main reason, along with Manning (aka, "The Doofus"). now, his old buddies on the G-men, that chose to keep plugging away for "The Asshole", have some sporty new bling and he has squat.....Eli included.

he looks good in a three piece suit on NBC and i like him. but you have to wonder that deep down, he is kicking himself. thats good stuff.

The only better thing would have been for NBC to have hosted the Super Bowl. Watching Tweaki squirm in real time would have been amazing.
