OUCH!!! I agree. I think turf should be banned. All football should be played on grass. If you can't grow grass in your dome, tear it down and make it open air. I never would care anything about going to see a football game in a domed stadium.

Dang Larry you coulda shrunk that thing a little. Or saved and shrunk it.

Yea, me and a friend of mine were under age and in a bar shooting pool that Monday night. Was one of the drunkest nights I ever had. I would have made it home too if it hadn't of been for that joint on the way home. I stopped in the middle of the mid-hudson bridge and told my friend I could drive any farther. Astrotruff is becoming obsolete. Check out the tray system they use in the Meadowlands. It was developed for the World Cup and was first used in the Silver Dome in Pontiac, Mich. A wise man once said "If a cow cain't eat it, we shouldn't play on it." He was right.

turf will be obsolete very soon. there is something new called artificail grass..not turf. It was used by the seahawks last year becuase they played at huskey stadium. They are installing it in their new stadium and so is detroit. it has plastic grass fibers anchored in cement with layers of compacted rubber in-between. the result is a field as soft as grass and as fast as turf. players wear cleats designed for grass fields instead of basketball shoes they would wear on turf.

yeah,we play on that stuff at the sportscenter off of harris. It was designed by nike and when they opened this field up, there were only like 5 or 6 in the world i believe. It's made out of recycled shoe rubber and we wear normal outdoor cleats on there. I blew out my knee on regular grass and haven't had any probs on this stuff (knock on wood.) Well, i take that back, i tore up my groin, but i was playing without an acl, so that may have had something to do with it. The artificial grass field is pretty amazing.
