I finally got around to buying a digital camera (Olympus) and it works awesome. The only problem I am having is with the software that comes with it....once i download the pictures from the camera to the computer, i cant see a way to actually send the pictures anywhere. There is no option in the program to send the pictures via email , and i can't figure out how to move the picutres out of the software program, and just into my hard drive so i can email it.

Any help, if this makes any sense at all?

Thanks for any help ibn advance.

I would recommend getting a card reader. The card reader shows up as a different drive on your computer. Put the card in, go to the My Computer icon, click on the new drive that appeared when the reader software was loaded, it will automatically load the pics into a specified folder on your harddrive.
You need to also download Irfanview, its free, does tons of stuff(like emailing pics).
I have an Oly and have never even loaded the software that came with it.

Thanks for the info, dig-it. I'm gonna invest in one of those card readers in the near future.

    I agree - Card Reader

I got a USB scandisk reader at Circuit City for $19.99. It sure beats having to hook up my camera to the computer every time I wanted to upload some images. The software that comes with the cameras usually isn't worth shit anyways. I have a cheap Konica camera and I never bothered to install my software. I just read the card and go straight to Photoshop.

The cool thing is I recently realized that the card reader also writes files to the card. Do all card readers also write as well?
