Which is why we just took another big back with a reputation for not always running big, and stocked a value linebacker when we had other needs.

I just don't like how everyone has already decided he is a bust until proven otherwise because he couldn't get on the field last year (which I still don't understand sink or swim he couldn't have been worse than Colbert/Carter or were we afraid of hurting the egos of players the team didn't want to keep) and smith has said mean things about him.

He's not a bust yet. He has an opportunity to earn his spot on the roster this summer. He has leg up on his competition.

But Smitty didn't just say mean things. He suggested the kid doesn't understand coverages, doesn't put in the kind of effort to get better yet, and suggested that if he doesn't put in said effort, he'd get cut. I agree.

That is grounds for getting cut, but they won't cut him this year.

One of our 3 WR is 35. One of them can't stay on the field. One we've relied on endlessly for years.

Jarrett still has time to turn this around, so if he sits inactive this year, I don't see the difference.

He does have some talent, and he's a baby, maybe he'll get serious and make something of himself before it's too late.

I wish he'd read some of the threads about him, it might motivate him to prove some people (me included) wrong.
