I remarked during the game that Davis looks like he's running in slow motion... Foster needs to take the bulk of the carries this week vs. Detroit and vs. the Giants. Get him in game shape and rest Davis for the Playoffs. Damn that feels good to say, officially.

WALLACE LOOKED GOOD BUT HE LOOKED OUT OF SHAPE TO PLAY A WHOLE GAME. I THINK DAVIS IS HURT. HE SHOULD SIT THE NEXT GAME REGUARDLESS OF THE SITUATION. ALSO MORGAN AND RUCK SHOULD SIT. PEPPER STILL LOOKS FRESH BUT IS GETTING CAUGHT INSIDE ON THOSE SWEEPS TO HIS SIDE. NO HELP FROM THE LBs, IN MY OPINION LBS HAVE BECOME OUR MAJOR WEAKNESS.

Davis wanted this though. He wanted 30 carries a game. Besides, he's been a none factor for a while, with the Panthers losing, they stop going to him.

He's fine. We just need to learn how to play with a lead.

I read some of the posts at the Redskins board when we played them a few weeks ago. Davis fading during the second half of the season seemed to be the norm. Not my words, theirs, but it does seem as if he has slacked off in a big way. I say set him vs. the Lions and if Foster comes up big then set him again and ride the hot hand with DeShaun in NY. If it is an injury thing, Davis can heal up. If its an effort issue, then riding some pine my wake him up. Whatever the case, this aint the same team that won all those games early in the season.

I don't think "slacking off" is a fair way to refer to Davis. He's been carrying a big load this year, he's bound to be hurt if not injured. He needs rest, limited reps in practice and the next to games.
That said, there is still a lot to play for. Momentum, a playoff bye & home field are all things that need to be considered the next 2 weeks. Still gotta play the game, the Panthers can not be content with just making the playoffs.
