    To get the most out of Vick you need a gimmick offense. I think you would have to have another QB who comes in and plays some. You could line up Vick at QB sometimes and then split him out to the slot or line him up in the backfield at other times. Of course he would have to be willing to do this and he may not be.

    Or you could line him up in the single wing.

    I would have that look in the offense if I had Vick, for sure.

    That basically IS thier offense. Just because Vick is labled a "QB" doesn't mean thier offense doesn't have A LOT of Single Wing flavor. Look at thier option plays with Vick in the shotgun.

    Am I the only one who noticed that Vick has had a pretty darn good season? No, he'll never be a great passer and I think the guy is a clubhouse cancer, but he's been productive. Atlanta would be much worse off with Schaub or someone similar at the helm, despite popular opinion to the contrary (Vick not only helps the run offense by pulling defenders away, but masks some of the problems with a terrible pass blocking line).

    Anyway, this rumor is retarded if only because it couldn't possibly work due to the salary cap ramifications. Honestly, sports radio hosts are the lowest of the low when it comes to actual knowledge.

    He's had a good season, if your only comparing him against himself. He's just not a real QB.

    Someone like Bledsoe would be a dead man behind that line.

    No, he had a better year than most NFL QBs this season. Look, I understand the bias against the guy considering how annoying it was to hear Theismann and others talk about how he'd revolutionize the position, but you really have no idea how important he has been to them because you're not thinking in context. Schaub would get battered behind that line, and I'm not convinced that his completion percentage would be above 60% either. Plus you're taking away probably the most dangerous element of the Atlanta offense when you remove Vick's running from the equation. Honestly, I think it would be instructive if we could ask NFL defenders whether they'd rather face Vick or Schaub. I pretty much guarantee that they would all say Schaub.

    Well, is it really fair to compare him to other QB's? I mean, sure you can, but is it fair given his ability to exploit a Defense in so many ways others can't.

    Compared to other QB's he didn't have a good year at all, but compared to himself he had a career year. Take away his greatest weapon (the running yards) and he is one of the worst among the leagues starters.

    QB rating = 74.9 (21st)
    Completions = 196 (23rd)
    Attempts = 374 (21st)
    Comp% = 52.4% (not even in the top 30)
    Yards = 2393 (22nd)
    YPG = 159.5 (not even in the top 30)
    YAVE = 6.4 (not even in the top 30, but that includes all passes thrown)
    TD/INT = 19/13 (9th/13th most)
    Sacked = 42 (7th)

    *many of those rated just below him were not even regular starters all above him appeared to be regular starters.
