    Odd timing. All these moves make me wonder if they're preparing to sign Hardy to a big front-loaded deal.

    They have to do something at the RG position. They needed something even before cutting Piggy. At this point I will be pretty surprised if they didn't sign Wharton.

    Hangartner ranked worse than that on others. His 2011 performance being rather competent remains one of the biggest shocks in Panthers history. As for the rest, they wouldn't need the room from Hangartner just to sign Wharton since they had plenty of room for that already.
