I do like Hardy. I was glad when the team drafted him and I've been pleased with his performance, I'd just like him to be more of a super-sub than an every-down DE. But yeah, maybe he'll make that leap this season to prove that he should be a starter.

He's undeniably talented, and deserves to be a starter. His uneven effort in his history was a reason to laud his efforts to head in a direction (God forbid). Outside of that erratic nature, he was just used too much last year, and people don't give the guy a break for that. Most people don't play a left end, in his first year, in the top 5 of all defensive snaps. Guy played less than 75% of the time once (70%, game 8) and was at or over 90% half of the time.

Whether he gets good at contain has nothing to do with weight or effort, and his snap count won't necessarily lessen but so much with some 3-4 packages and him playing inside on other downs. But there's a legit reason to hope we have better end depth, and if the weight thing doesn't work, he can do the slimmer Year 4 explosion like CJ did (he played 2009, year 3, at 290+, which added a lot of power to his game, but limited his quickness - Hardy does have a more prototypical body, so who knows).

Thanks for getting this retarded bullshit back on track, BTW.

hopefully he can add about 400 snaps, 10 pressures, 3-4 sacks. That'd be nice for a young backup.
