Yep. How many Checkers game have you been to? How many fans do you know? They are super pissed and WILL NOT support any team other than the Checkers. Cricket Arena will shut down and will not be able to stay open.

Then they are checkers fans not hockey fans. I've been to 4 games, know none of the fans. I don't care to. I like to see good hockey ECHL puts on an entertainment event. I'd rather see high school teams play. I don't get my jollies off throwing dimes in front of the opponents crease, and that is the type of hockey that the ECHL plays. If the fans are hockey fans any upgrade in the quality of play will be appreciated. The checkers haven't done jack at the box office for the last couple of years as it is anyway if the current fans don't show it won't be a problem.

Oh don't get me started on the Checkers and their faults! And I agree with you...if there is hockey, I'm gonna be there watching it. I can watch it on tv all I want, but I crave being there, the sounds the smells can't compare. I think these guys are just trying to make a statement to the arena people and if truth be told...I see them giving in, one by one, and straggling in to see the new team, cause you just can't stay away from it.

  4. No chance would I have gone to the final game vs. the Bulls. I've attended the games with the Raptors (only because my boy Dell gave us free tickets). NO way would we line the wallets of Shinnridge...

In the "sweep" game at the Hive vs. the Heat last season, we got great seats, sitting right across the aisle from good ole Ray. Fat little bugger was wearing his headband. My wife's description of him will always echo in my ears...

"He looks like Wayne Newton, but with bad hair, a bad complexion, and not near the integrity..."
