the real problem in the NFL is way too many teams and way too little talent

The talent is there. Every team is going to have weaknesses, canes. The real problem is the functionality of these franchises, and only a handful of teams are really doing it right in the FA era. Yours is not one of them.

Ours wasn't either...hopefully we're righting that ship. Time will tell.

The New England Patriots end up at the top year after year with Brady and Wilfork and the next guy up. I think they know how to manage their cap. Why don't other teams emulate them? Or is my perception off from the stats. My friend from Boston says that New England will pay a player once but that's it. Brady and Wilfork aside.

Having one of the best quarterbacks and one of the best head coaches are obviously huge advantages. I'm not sure how much else there is to emulate because it's not like New England has done exceptionally well in the draft. They seem about average in terms of identifying talent. Playing in a historically bad division helps as well.

um no… the 40whiners coach is an ass, he was an ass when he played, he was an ass at Stanford, he's an ass now… he has assholes on his team and he even said at halftime, we need to play more like assholes to start the second half since the refs have everything going our way…

Unemotional evaluations of player values, no loyalty to role players, etc. is something to emulate. I think Gman is aware and willing.

Taping other teams' practices might be a little tricky.

My guess is that if you polled panther fans that most of them would overwhelmingly want JH as the HC of the CP's.

JH is an ass, but he wins and knows how to build football teams. He has been successful at every level of football that he has coached.

I understand what you're getting at, but was it really better for them to let Welker walk and then spend big on Amendola? Wouldn't they have been better off not out-smarting themselves and just paying Welker? It's not like he broke the bank with Denver.

Yes, most of us would love Harbaugh. Why are we debating this.
