I play, but I'm not sure you'd know too many courses down in the Tampa Bay area. I'm a 22 handi, but have been in the low 80's a time or two.

I've played TPC Tampa Bay, played pretty well there and one other course in Tampa but can't remember the name of it (had a racoon as the logo on the ball, maybe Bloomington or something like that). Played Mons Venus a few times. Nice track.

You can never have a bad hole at Mons 
The racoon logo could be Rocky Point, but it's actaully a squirrel, or maybe it is a racoon. There is a Bloomingdale. Haven't been there. I used to play in my golf league at Rocky Point, but now it's in Carrollwood. I live about 3 miles south of TPC. So many new courses have opeb here these last couple of years it's hard to keep up. I haven't played since September. Everybody that thinks Florida is fun in the sun year round has got it all wrong, but the weather has been beautiful for golf here lately, as long as you like 30 mph gusts.

I've played 5 courses in the Tampa area, can't remember a damn one's name. I think 4 were public. I will be down that way next week on business, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando. I think we are playing near Orlando this trip.
Edit: Just for the record, I suck at golf, but enjoy the hell out of it... just being outdoors etc... usually shoot around 100 + or - 7 strokes.

Former avid golfer here. I used to play about 5-6 times per week. I was down to a 9 handicap at that time but now I shoot between 95 and 88 the last few times I played.
Once you get the mechanics down, by mechanics I mean correct mechanics or what works for you, it's alot of repetition to be good.
I've played all over NC, some in SC and VA. I love the game but the past 2 yrs with my mom have ruined my golf game.

I was in Tampa a year ago and the 6 foot rule was in effect, they ignored the hell out of that.

It was Bloomingdale. I liked it a lot but that was about 2 years ago. I shoot low 80s and can get into the high 70s but also can get in the low 90s. I am an addict though, play Sat and Sun every weekend.
