I can recieve mail, but I can't send mail using Outlook...

Anybody else using gmail as a POP3 account in Outlook?

In the help, it says some clients may not support sending mail...client would be the Outlook application, not my Adelphia Cable account, right?

I've tried using Outlook & Outlook Express

My issue is I want to email pictures with a PhotoAlbum, but the only way with IE is to attach one at a time, I can't drag & drop and the PhotoAlbum application will size & import right into Outlook

Do you think your firewall might be blocking outgoing port 465? And if you ping smtp.gmail.com, what do you get? I get 72.14.205.109.

seems nothing seems to work...I've found a lot of the same problems on some boards, and a lot of different reasons why it won't work from ISP provider won't allow outgoing mail, to my Outlook not having the latest patch.

anybody using gmail with outlook and can send emails using outlook, let me know please

This is what I thought at first, but I wasn't sure how many different places you've tried it.

some say you have to use your smtp setting from you ISP, not gmail, but other say gmail's smtp works just fine for them

I've tried my ISP's settings, but that only works as sending email from [email protected]...I don't use that email

use your ISP's SMTP server. :twocents:

maybe mail.adelphia.com? I can find you a relay to use for outgoing if you need one.
