And by the way, the general manager can absolutely get rid of an offensive coordinator, so if Gettleman had a problem with the offense then he could dump Shula instead of Smith. This isn't about making the Panthers better, it's about proving he's a bigshot.

12-4 earns him some benefit of the doubt, but this is stupid regardless of what happens next year. If we go 13-3 it won't be because we got rid of Smith, just as going 12-4 wasn't a byproduct of having a new offensive coordinator.

I think he did. He inherited a mess. Alot of them were players he wouldnt have wanted anyway. We got back some role players. We grabbed guys that panned out for cheap the way you'd expect a pro scout to grab guys.

Ginn, Mitchell, Munnerlyn, Melvin freakin white. We did alot with alot of throwaways.

So - nothing has happened, alot of conjecture with 89 having as little drama over it as I remember, but the media and fans are flipping out. Smitty hasnt really grown up THAT much. I gotta think more has happened that we have no clue about.

    'It's Fluid'.

I like the idea of dumping guys more than I like Hurney's contracts. I still give him the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe he hasnt learned the rules and regulations yet.

True - it's a whole bunch of shit. Just like whatever he does with 89 will be one of a whole bunch of shit.
