    And their vegetables taste like crap. Nothing compares to a homegrown mater.

    What about yellow squash or zucchini? Maybe watermelon, too. Put some pumpkin plants in for the kids to take care of so they will have their own pumpkin in the fall.

    I would love the squash and zucchini, but I tend to be the only one that eats that unless I cover it in cheese. I would love to do the pumpkins or watermelon...but don't they take a crazy amount of water? I saw mini pumpkins and watermelon plants at a store...they looked really cute.

    Then I think I will pass on them. I don't need to go chasing after something that keeps crawling away! I have enough of that on my hands.
