I was suprised by Foster's numbers. He had his usual share of stuffs where he isn't decisive enough (too much like timmy thier), but he also had some big runs that got first downs. Their at the end it seemed he was getting between 4-6 a pop. Of course, before that he was getting a lot of nothing.

I said my piece about Morgan this past offseason. It's something that we will have to deal with now.

Personally, I have a hard time putting my finger on a few guys. It was clearly an everybody do their best not to fuck it up, so that we can win at the end game. Wahle looked okay, and I don't think Wharton's body of work was too bad. But we were facing a duct-taped defensive line, so I'm leery about hyping anybody on our side.

I think our safeties showed some improvement, and a big play by McCree in the fourth quarter. Thought the blitzing was as effective as its ever been.

I'll stick with Gamble as my choice for Def game ball, but I gotta give a shout out to McCree for his game, second on the team in tackles (6), broke up that TD pass, and not once in chat did I hear "F'n McCree"

a lot of those stuffs were inside plays that weren't draws. I think we get that he succeeds with the draw, and that he's not as good in base, but even then, he did rip off a good couple inside. Just not consistently enough, IMO, to earn a paycheck as a starting RB for us. Maybe that'll change, but we can't run the wing-T playbook and draw on half our plays if we have a lead. Interesting seeing more I formation this week.

I haven't bitched about him in weeks. He's brought it. No one said anything positive about him when he tipped that deep ball? It's not like anyone here needs to be the PR police, but if not, he deserves kudos for that.

I'm not inclined to give anything to Jake. He looked like he was playing scared all day. He checked down pretty fast when he still had plenty of time to let things develop. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he checked down but come on!

Did it seem to you that Draft was no were near as fast getting to the ball as Morgan though? To me, it seemed if Draft was at about 3 quarters of Morgan's speed. I'm not making any other judgement here just talking speed. Draft is good in a pinch but really; playing as well as Morgan?

Maybe, though Morgan rarely just hits the snap and guesses right. Draft seemed to recognize and get there. If you're looking for your MLB to be the guy chasing a bootleg QB, maybe Draft isn't the first guy you look to, but he's as good stopping the run and assuming against the pass as well; for the price difference, would I take Draft and get an impact guy more like Lucas? Yeah.

I'll give you this, he's missed 19 games in the last 5 seasons. That's not too good. Still, a healthy Morgan is better than a heavy Draft. But you were talking value. Strickly looking at dollars/value you are probably right. But that is a next season problem at this point (or maybe two seasons from now due to the cap ramifications).

I was fairly excited about us bringing Draft in because of Morgan's injury history. If we can keep him around for a while, I think it would be worth it, because he can definitely play. His size is probably what allowed us to get him on the cheap, and it does limit his effectiveness somewhat, but he's a heady player who always seems to find the ball. Kudos to Hurney for making that move.

Also, note that a couple of times it did appear that we wanted to go downfield off of play action, and those were the three false starts (two by Gaines, one by Gross). Bill Maas was excruciating, but he did make that point accurately.
