    Any predictions for tonight’s game? I figure we’ll have the typical slow Charlotte start, but pull away once the bombs start dropping as we continue to pound Withers inside. I’m also banking on the GW President’s comments giving us some additional fire to work with.

    Aka, as soon as MItchell starts playing point and Demon moves to the two or sits.

    I had some bad luck predicting scores last year, I'll just say the NIners will win.

    What comments by GW's president? I have not read anything but positive comments from him regarding our move to the A-10.

    Miner, he had made some comments to a student newspaper that UNCC didn't fit academics-wise with the A-10 schools and was lobbying hard for Boston University to join. The other presidents evidently didn't want BU at all. According to what I've been told by a good source in the athletic department that Linda Bruno (A-10 commish) had pretty much guaranteed us a spot EARLY on if we could show them the money, which we easily did.

    So much for pounding Withers inside. Without him, I'd put my money on GW to cover the 9.5 point spread. Hopefully Clemmons, Iti, and Pigford step up big tonight. They'll be playing lots of minutes.
