Proof? yes. Thank you. You're ignorant, have nothing worth saying or reading, and largely jump from bandwagon to bandwagon, whether it be a pissy grudge or whatever team's local. None of the above are my fault. Only thing you've proven of me is that I'll respond to a troll, and that's nothing new. Keep making a fool of yourself.

He is not my marginal receiver, he is the receiver making plays. Agrue your opinion all you want, Smith makes plays, I dont see Muhammad doing that. That is a fact, not opinion. My argument is not money but experience. A new QB has to be given a little help out there, a high throw that hits you in the hands should be caught.

Player G GS Rec Yds Avg Lg TD 1st YAC Trgt
    Smith, Steve 10 6 56 695 12.4 67 5 30 334 85
    Muhammad, Muhsin 9 9 31 487 15.7 60 1 18 116 63
    Proehl, Ricky 10 1 16 236 14.8 66 3 8 57 30

Those numbers for Smith are good enough for 15th in the league.

Agree. Part of the learning curve.

Sure. But realize that the expectations of Steve are lower than for Moose, due to a) past performance, and yes, b) salary. I think Steve has taken advantage of his opportunities more so than Moose, as evidenced by both his numbers and the fact the Skins chose to match up Champ on him. Steve has been far from perfect, and notice I didn't go handing any game balls to him either. He made a great catch, but he also dropped a ball that was right on target that directly led to a turnover. Just as unexcusable as Moose's screwup.

I disagree. I think by making tough catches in less than ideal situations (like the one Moose was in), you build confidence and rapport with your QB. We have all witnessed Moose drop the easy passes this year, let alone make very many tough catches. If I see two open receivers, I'm going to throw to the guy who won't drop the damn thing. If a receiver is making big plays and hanging onto the ball week in and week out, the offensive gameplan is going to start gearing towards getting that receiver the ball. Had Moose committed fewer drops, and made more big plays, I think he would indeed have more opportunities, with Delhomme looking his way more, and I'm sure Henning and Fox would love go his way heavily in the gameplan, as they already love him for his blocking.

    189 and 317.

Regardless of whether the high ball was even catchable, as a matter of opinion, or what percentage of the blame Moose or Jake should get after factoring in some salary based formula, 189 and 317. That’s how many yards Moose and Jake got, respectively. Guess what? That’s a good game by both players. Jake and Moose both played great and if they don’t, we lose. Did they play perfect? No. Do they share some blame on that pick? Yes. Does it AT ALL change the fact that they both put up their best game of the year, THE BEST passing and receiving games, statistically speaking, of the entire year? Not one little bit.

No sense being bitter about a player on this team getting a game ball just for setting a franchise record for receiving yards in a game we won. If you don’t like that I gave one, too bad, I would bet money, if there was some way to find out, that Moose did in fact get a game ball.

Davis probably got one too, not that he had his best game, and that he did have a bad turnover that was all on him, but that he got the winning TD vs his old team and that means a lot to him
