but we won this game in the 2nd half, running the ball. we threw it like 7 or 8 times i think in the 2nd half. not to mention we didn't do it all with our stud. foster and smart were eatin up big chunks too. O-LINE stepped up.

I don't remember Smart getting chunks. I remember him getting stuffed. I remember Foster getting a lot on his own, breaking tackles, 2nd & 3rd efforts. Delhomme still had no protection all day.

I'm not trying to bash our OL, I'm just giving game balls where their due. OL doesn't get one today, JMO

Good call. Morgan was all over the field today. I think everybody, including myself, focuses on his injuries. When healthy, he's a stud. I noticed his play today, too.

What about Spoon's 10 tackles? A few of those were open field too.

Morgan had 6, and 4 assists

Manning had a pick, forced fumble, shut down Harrison pretty much, and 3 tackles and 1 assist. Morgan had a great game though. He seemed like he was in on everything, and he had that pressure on Payton that should have been a penalty. He threw it to nobody in the endzone. (I think he was in the endzone, that could have been a safety)

I would have to give game balls to Dan Henning and Mike Trgovac for making the right moves in the 2nd half. I would also give a game ball to Sauerbrun for kicking the shit out of the ball all day but my biggest game ball goes to Stephen Davis for lighting a fire under our asses on that 1st drive in the 3rd quarter.

Witherspoon and Morgan both played spirited games. At times, Morgan seemed to be the only one playing hard, necause this team is too fast and too strong to let Morgan be a standout on one bad leg.

But neither of them solved Harrison like Manning did. Neither came up with the ball. And even though Favors forced a fumble and had 6 tackles, he still caused an unsportsmanlike and gave up his traditional plays simply because he can't stay at home.

And Favors had 6. The LB's lead the team in tackles, instead of our secondary, finally. That of course lead to only 57 yards rushing by Ricky Williams.

Yep, Morgan almost gets a game ball for stuffing those 2 3rd and shorts, but Manning gets mine for doing a great job on the #1 WR in the NFL and forcing 2 turnovers.
