meat, all those Auburn wins had a whole lot to do with brilliant coaching and the fact that they were doing the thinking part for him. yeah, he ran over some people when that first read wasn't open and it's easy to get a boner for a player that is running over people in college. BUT, he's not going to be running over anyone in the NFL and he's going to have to do a whole lot of learning and thinking and anticipating and etc, etc. Maybe a few years from now Newton WILL be the shit . . . who knows, but it seems really unlikely that he'd be worth taking #1 overall. This team needs immediate help . . . not possible help in a couple o' few years.
