Over at the Charlotte.com Hornets board (which is BTW, getting ready to come down . . Why can't they just rename it the NBA BOARD and save all of the posts ? ? ) there are some folks suggesting that we should use the Cougars nickname from the ABA days ? ? ? ? That sounds like a good idea to me, CAROLINA COUGARS !!!!!!!!!!

Keep that funk alive...my favorite commerical. The "old" ABA was fantastic when I was a kid...the San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers, New York Nets, Virginia Squires, Miami Floridians, Dallas Chaparrals, Utah Stars, San Diego Conquistadors...the Carolina Cougars.

Change the color of the ball...introduce a shot clock...how about more points for a longer shot?

How about we let SDS70 choose the cheerleaders? Now that one is guaranteed!

You could call the arena Charlotte's Web, the cheerleaders the Black Widows...

it has much more possibilites... plus a black uniform with a red colored spider would be cool as hell

I think they should use something completely different to get the thought of Shinnridge completely out of every one's minds. Change everything, the name, the colors, and the logo. The Cougars also left town for St. Louis, why reward their memory by naming the proposed new team after them now that I've thought about it.
