    between the loss tonight and the loss in 1996, and the perception of the season's success.

    11 seasons, 3 appearances in the NFCCG, 1 Super Bowl appearance. That's out-fucking-standing.

    Here's hoping we can compete every year.

    yep. It seems every game, fans had this expectation of winning, not hope. So now's a failure or something.

    Too bad they had to go out like fucking bitches, though.

    That's puzzling. It was wierd. I hope proehl plays - hate to see him go out like that. Makes me want to keep the FA's too.

    It was a wierd season. I look at it and wonder how the hell we even made the playoffs. No running game, one WR worth a shit, erratic O-line and QB play...just didn't have the feel of a playoff caliber team.
    Gotta give them credit though, they found a way to get there.
