I can think of a few games Delhomme played clutch in with the playoffs. But even with the Rams game, with the great Smitty catch, I think we were both trying to give that fucker away.

With the Eagles NFCCG, it was the Foster and Manning Jr. show.

However...Delhomme was brilliant in the Superbowl. He was up for MVP before Kasay shanked the kick.

Delhomme was what he was. We lived and died with his play a lot. He's gone. But the point was still a good one- when Delhomme was good, he was good. And sometimes, posters here would refuse to give him credit, and when he stunk, it was an I told you so thing. I can't think of any specifics though.

That kind of thing though exists on every message board. You have some smart guys, and then you have the rest filled out with a bunch of idiots.

And Collin and mags aren't the only guys to listen to when it comes to the draft. I tend to pay attention to what Piper says as well, and anyone who has seen a lot of one player or whoever at that level. Frankly, you cannot discount what I say either, because when I have a strong opinion on something, I'm almost always right. I just won't pretend I know everything. I don't watch a lot of college ball...lately with work, I just watch Panther games, and that's about it. (shrugs)

Eh, I wouldn't call him "dominant" in either the Super Bowl or the Chicago playoff game. He definitely had some good games, but most of the time his receivers were doing the damage. It's not like he was just bombing surgical strikes in between defenders. The one time I think of him as "dominant" was that second half of his first game with us against Jacksonville, and even in that one he threw two interceptions.

1-14, 2-13 against good teams I couldn't root against my team, will not happen just because I don't like a QB. But agony can breed irrational thoughts, sure.

In the end, sure, it would be tough to watch them fail in a situation I wanted them to avoid, but could never want that.

I would say his play was exceptional in the 2nd half of SB38, and throughout some key situations in the Bears playoff game. Sure, he threw a pick in the STL game, but was able to hold up against what was a very good defense over 5 quarters of football, making a solid throw against a horribly called coverage by Lovie Smith.

Rumor picking up steam: Bills looking to trade back for Ponder.

By the way, I like Ponder's game.

Actually his completion percentage was pretty low in the second half too, he just had the one busted coverage where Mushin was left wide fucking open. The TD pass to Smith in the first half was great, though.

True to all of the above.

Delhomme was Delhomme. He was a reckless cowboy half the time, and he gave us ups and downs. I mean, Jesus, we never had two winning seasons back to back, and D was a part of that.

I'm just glad there is a new staff...and there may be a new quarterback. ANd if we pay him 45 billion dollars per minute now, all this frill bullshit about playing him right away becomes suddenly and alarmingly relevant. It scares the fuck out of me.

Um...can anyone say AJ Green? On a card? At 8 o clock tonight?

    PLease?
