"On who played well at Arizona: Defensively, Ken Lucas. Marlon McCree. I thought our d-line did an excellent job. We pretty much shut down their run game. Their quarterback (Josh McCown) was their leading rusher. Offensively, Steve Smith. Jake. I thought Kris Mangum made some big catches in spots. DeShaun (Foster) and Stephen (Davis). We ran the ball decently. I would have liked to have gotten that one first down there late in the game. We came up short, and they called a holding penalty. Special teams, I think Sean Tufts did an outstanding job for us. He was a guy that basically we brought up right before we got on the plane. He stepped in and did a nice job. "

I take his comment on McCree with a grain of salt, since I know history has proven that Fox isn't near as smart a football guy as some of our resident experts. :imagestor

oh, lighten up.....I'm just having fun with ya...

Seriously, was I the only one seeing McCree having a horribly bad day in coverage?

No pressure on the QB at all. What game was he watching?

McCree struggled, yes. He also had good stats. Whats pretty cool, is he had a bad game overall, missed assignments, missed tackles, but rebounded with a good statistical game. I also thought he played really well late, so he cleaned it up. Thats good.

As far as we didnt get any pressure all day, I think its pretty clear that Ive not been happy with the defense. But Im also rational with my complaints. So I do feel compelled to say while we struggled on defense, YES, we alos put quite a bit of pressure on McCown. He made good plays. And yes, he made them as we blitzed him, while he was three step dropping, lol (I hope the three step drop conspiracy thing dies soon!), as we blitzed him at times. Thing is, he wasnt able to complete long passes because of it. THere were quite a few times where we got lots of pressure. Off of the blitz, and also from rushing three and four. Rucker almost had him what, five times or more? Peppers had a handful of jersey, T BUck collapsed the pocket a time or two, rushed McCown, and many times, Manning Jr. and co. were chasing him as he ran for his life, throwing it away or completing short.

Our biggest problem right now, lies in coverage. And I can say I want us to blitz more, or not, it lies in coverage. Blame it on what you want, pick your fucking poison, I think we can ALL agree that we are devistating against the run, and the Miami game is garbage. We had him shut down until Morgan blew his load into the wrong gap, and Minter wiffed, and Brown got away for the long one. But weve been fantastic against the run. We can all hopefully agree that coverage is our glaring weakness. We can all agree that we need more pressure than the stuff were getting. Damn. We can fucking debate the solution, because were fans that like talking shit, and the whining can cease and fucking desist. For all the buzz about calling people whiners, theres an awful lot of goddamn whining about the whining. Theres an awful lot of "I told you the chat sucked", and a lot of the chat is a depressing place to be. Oh fuck, man, this is fucking grim!!! Jeeeezus Christ. Its getting silly 'round here. Its so quiet and relaxing at the Lair. Un fucking real.

so to counter that, you're whining about the whining about the whining.

and yeah, I've been whining. It sucks, being demoralized by fans after a win and beaten down during it. Anyone who thinks or even pretends I'm rainbows and sunshine about a winning team's full of shit, but there's been ten tons of finger pointing going on, even on good plays. I'm not pointing it at anybody. If I had a problem with you directly I'd have either told you, or (less likely) just not talked with you about it. But in two weeks, we've barely played well enough to win. Plenty to be happy about, plenty to be angry about. And throughout, it seems like people want to be ashamed more than happy about having won.

I know youre not about sunshine. I can safely say youve always been consistent. Youve stuck up for Trgo, as has Collin, both of you, and both are opinions I respect. But was weary of Trgo loooong before this bandwagon got going, you know that too. I see improvement. Im fully aware of the player flaws, only my idols are mostly coaches, so I bitch about them more. I also give them props. You know three years ago, I was foaming at the mouth about this club's staff, foaming, man. THere are parts Im not hot on now, Im not. And I whine too, probably too much, and I know full damn well that in the chat, Im the "percieved problem". I get hot, and loud. BUt Im not too irrational. Im consistent. I realize I can be a bit much for some....thats cool but Im always cool with everyone there until the weekly "Purr, quit whining, be haaaappyyyyy", and I know that aint you bro. Im just sayin'.....

I for one am not ashamed about winning. I for one would like to talk about positives, and have, and yeah, theyve gotten no attention. Its not being talked about that the offense played atrocious for a good bit, its only the defense sucks, yadda yadda ya. Yeah. It gets old. A point I brought up was the late game O, not the late game D. Happy to see Fox bring it up. Hes aware. But no one has brought up the fact that we played like shit and....WON. This could be huge in us getting over the hump. THis sloppy shit game could be a catalyst of sorts. Fuck. We know we can win. We know we dont have to panic. We know we can be down and come back. WE dont have to say were not built for a come back. We can say we DO come back. We can score 14 points in a late quarter, we can be efficient and throw the ball at the same time. We can win, if were down late. This is fucking huge. And mark my words, I said this I think in a post here, if we turn this thing around this season, I believe this game can be thanked. I truly do.
