hey, this one time I predicted that Muhsin was a good WR, and that the Oline sucked. Bow before me.

Seems odd that there are quotes like "Larry isn't the only one who has asked me to improve the quality of this forum by posting here", and "worst thread ever", in the same thread. :lalala:

I call bullshit on that one. I have a hard time believing Larry asked you over here. I've seen some of the stuff he's said about you and none of it would lead me to believe he said that. IMO I have no problem with you posting here, nor would I ever ask you to leave, but that doesn't I will agree with everything you say and it also doesn't mean that on occassion I won't call you a moron or other similar names, but I think everyone should be welcome to express their opinions no matter how much they may disagree from our own.

meant Elton Brown Elton Brown is a franchise guard if there ever was one ... Hell, I'm almost convinced that Elton would make a better tackle than anyone in this draft. didn't go back and reread the thread but remember you getting all in Mag's case cuz he disagreed that Brown was worth the 14th pick. are you standing behind that franchise guard opinion now?

I'm willing to make a wager serious enough that we won't forget in five years and if you care to welsh, it will be worth my time to find you. and honestly, i don't care if i'm right or wrong. certainly, there's some gamble in Williamson. the point of offering the wager was to show you for what i fugured you are. a chickenshit that likes to hear himself talk and trash others but doesn't have any gumption or backbone in what he says.

whether it was 4.8 or 4.6's, the point remains the same, scouts expected him to time considerably slower which indicates that he may not play as fast as he timed. unlike Williamson, who they expected to run a sub 4.0. the biggest worry i have about Clayton is that he did not display his supposed exceptional quickeness or speed in the SB. granted, his time was limited, but he did have some opportunity to shine and I just didn't see it other than one great diving catch. showed he had some great hands and competitiveness but otherwise he did not impress in the game. he looked small and like he could be a great slot receiver.

getting confused about 4.8 vs 4.6 doesn't make anyone ridiculous or a fool or a liar. you saying so or even thinking so makes you an asshole of the grandest proportions. a person of any sense of manners can point out a mistake and correct without being an ass, apparently the concept is foreign to you ... which is my take on you. you enjoy ridicule. Which is why, along with some of the more idiotic opinions and disjointed logic i've seen from anyone in the couple of years i've been on this board, you don't deserve anyone's respect.

I'm cool with that as long as you explain to me why I'm a moron, which I occasionally am. I think I call myself an idiot twice a day.

    HeadCase:
    #1) My God, you're bitter.
#2) Why did you say "Wharton argument" instead of "Elton Brown argument"? I had no idea what you were talking about when you babbled on about Wharton.

And yes, I still think Elton Brown would make an excellent addition to our team. He's incredibly athletic for someone of his size, and I think pairing him with Wahle would make our running game unstoppable. But with the addition of Wahle, I don't think we'll be going in that direction. If he somehow fell to our second pick, that's the only player I'd really be super pissed about missing.

In addition to getting the player's name wrong, you also got the thread wrong. Magnus and I didn't fight over Brown (though we fought over other things). He's not as high on Brown as I am, just as I'm not as high on other players as he is. It's not like he thinks Brown is crap, though, he just doesn't prefer us going in that direction.

Uhm ... I'm the one who went out on a limb and predicted something a lot of people here don't agree with. Where is your courage? What have you predicted? Who in the hell are you to be throwing stones in the first place?

Indeed. The point is that you're a liar and you don't know jack$#!+ about football. Now get mad and babble about wagers some more. I AM RIGHTEOUSLY INDIGNANT!!! :roflmao: (if you don't know what that last word means, I'll explain it to you)

:rotflmao: Dude, you definitely win the Unintentional Comedian of the Week award.

"According to PFW draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki, Clayton is pound-for-pound one of the strongest receivers in the country. He has an incredible work ethic, long arms and, with a 38-inch vertical leap, can sky for the ball and pluck it out of a crowd. He is a great route runner and extremely quick and athletic. The only knock on him is his lack of size. But at 5-9 3/4 and 187 pounds, he plays bigger than his frame and would be an excellent fit in an offense such as that used by the Rams, Chiefs, Colts and Patriots. We caught up with the 22-year-old Clayton during a busy but impressive week for him at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala."

    Source:
"At one of the so-called skill positions, Oklahoma wide receiver Mark Clayton has caught the eye of many in attendance (at the Senior Bowl). This polished, natural athlete has caught almost every pass thrown his way, even some of the spectacular variety. From beating big defenders in the short field to outracing cornerbacks down the sideline, Clayton is silencing the critics which questioned his ability to be productive at the next level."

    Source:
"The only knock on Clayton is lack of size (recently measured in the 5’10” range), other than that he’s about everything you would want – a proven receiver who has done well in a pass-based offense. Helped his stock immensely during Senior Bowl week where he caught virtually everything in sight."

Thinking a first-round receiver was expected to run a 4.8 isn't just a typo. It shows a fundamental lack of knowledge. And yes, it is ridiculous as well thoroughly amusing. And you really don't have a lot of credibility when it comes to lecturing me on the proper way to behave considering that you're being a far greater ass.

I'm glad Brown dropped. Certainly didn't find him a franchise lineman, and still don't. I question his work ethic to a point, being that he immediately got hurt in Mobile, hasn't looked in shape at all this offseason, and just hasn't had staying power. Him as a guard at 14, even if he were a very solid prospect, would've been unlikely, and I didn't find him that much better than, say, Baas.

Now that seems to have solidified, and Baas has taken that place around 30 and Brown might make it to 45, where he's fine value if we're convinced that he can keep motivated and healthy, which are minor concerns. But I never felt like he'd be a better tackle than the top 3 guys who are, uhh, already tackles. Feet aren't that good, wonderlic isn't that good, wingspan...his 40 is also counter-indicitative of his implied athleticism and abilities on the run.

I dunno. In the end, as long as we don't end up with Adam Terry, I'm fine.
