Wilks probably should've gotten them to score more against atlanta and tampa. Rah Rah is great and all but where the rest of that TBR copypasta

Some shine has come off the guy with those last 2 indy seasons but theres success there. I'm not sure he's walked into any better ownership situation but probably upgraded at GM and team talent. He's a better hire if you're trying to get a new Carr here.

It's not a bad hire but it's not a home run.... it's a fine double.

    Tepper still needs to go

Evidently, Reich interviewed many coaches and presented a plan for final interview. He is well known and well liked, so hope that bodes well for the right candidates.

Former Panthers Steve Smith and Steve Beuerlein both commented that it was a great hire. Jury is still out, but he gets praise of former players

Ron and rhule still had the locker room. We really need to grain of salt player endorsements.

A bunch of current Panthers already weighed in as to Reich being a great hire. Understandably, you would want to support Wilks if he was still in the running for head coach at the end of this past season.

The Colts were a top 10 scoring offense in 3 out of 4 of Reich's full seasons. The Panthers haven't had a top 10 scoring offense in seven years.

    Feel better?

Wilks would have been my choice, but him and Tepper were never going to mesh long term. Reich feels like the perfect alternative. Everyone loves him, he'll have no trouble winning over the players, and while he's not being hired just to run an offense, it's nice to try someone with an offensive lineage for once.

Would they have hired a coach who was 3-5-1 the previous season then got fired if he was black?

Would they have kept a coach who turned around the entire fanbase & locker room and one game short of the playoffs after the team started 1-5 if he was white?

I think we all know the answer.
