    Well, you are what your record says you are, according to many. In his last five years as coach of the Panthers, Fox had a winning record one time. And went out with an embarrassing loss in the first round when he did get the team in the playoffs.

    Fox's big fuck-up was hiring Jeff Davidson, but I think the last five years had more to do with management fucking up worse each passing year.

    I don't think either team is sitting back longing. Carolina made that decision much earlier than last year, possibly hastened by Fox' contract demands after average performances. Whether they should've done it before 2010 (there's history that he's not the first coach here who's been hung out to dry), or whether he should've sent his coaches scattering after 08, I don't think any side can say that it was done perfectly and Fox had his hand in there too.

    I like the guy, no ill will but three wins with a gimmick offense doesn't suddenly make him great and I doubt anyone was longing for him that badly before last week's terrible game.
