Fox is a proven head coach. He took the Panthers to a Super Bowl and 2 title games. He made an obscure expansion franchise relevant.

Enjoy your One Man Show for the next 10-12 years.

Fox did not go 2-14 last season.

Hurney and Richardson went 2-14 last season. When you let 8 starters walk and do nothing to replace them, then tell the coach to start high school/college level players in the NFL, you lose. That's a fact.

He knows how to get the most out of his players. Last year he was a lame duck and understood that Hurney and Richardson were preparing for the lockout rather than supply the team with contracted players, so he simply went through the motions. He had already proven himself as a coach and knew that he would step right back into a position and that's just what happened. I was a bit surprised at how quickly he was hired, but Denver obviously knew what they were getting.

I'm happy for the guy. Hope they make the playoffs. The best part is Fox will never look back, but Carolina will always ask itself, why did we let this guy go. Kind of like the Jags will always ask themselves why they let Coughlin go.

He's got his flaws but he's a solid coach. The Panthers clearly fired the wrong guy.

Yep Hurney should have been the one sent packing. Fox was stubborn as hell but he had his legs taken out underneath him last year.

That was shocking. The media must have been interviewing B&B wearing his John Fox rubber mask.

Yeah, he did. Before last season I was still in Fox's corner, but he really disappointed me with the way he seemed to quit. I understood his frustration over not having his contract extended and being frozen out on the roster after having so much input so long, but you should still act like a professional. I still think he's a pretty good coach, but the lack of effort last season hurt my opinion of him more than anything else.

He was bitter but I don't think he quit. I admired him for taking occasional shots at Hurney last year.

Do you seriously think Fox would be better than 2-7 right now with this team? I've never done crack, but that shit you're smoking must be out of this world.

Denver has half the talent Carolina has. They are 5-5. Granted, I would take everyone of Denver's starting defensive players over ours, with the exception of Beason and Johnson.
