    Yep.

assuming it's benson, the logical choice might be him. Honestly, I still think we can get good backs later, and can't get receivers like that later, but it's either/or, we could get a return man/slot receiver with a 2 or 3, too.

Uhm ... I don't care if Davis and Foster are both healthy. Anyone who would take Williamson or Clayton over one of the three RBs would have to be insane. Furthermore, the drop from the top three backs to the rest of the RB crop is much bigger than we're used to seeing. Meanwhile WR is much deeper than RB in this draft.

I'm the same way - I'd want Benson.

But I can't see that happening.

If it does, we'll pick Roddy White. :imagestor

Didn't Goings average around 100 yards per game when he took over as the starter? I just don't see spending a first rounder on a RB unless he is really, really special.

    Like Benson.

But yeah - all this talk of Foster getting better, and Goings - while nowhere near as talented - has been more productive, and is certainly more reliable.

That said, I'd like to see Foster make it through 250 carries, and see what he can get done. Said that about Timmay, too.

Goings had 1200 yards from scrimmage in 16 games (only 8 starts) in 2004.
Foster has 983 yarsd from scrimmage as a pro.

Ugh. This really makes me want a new RB.

I was talking Tomlinson special, not Cuda special.

Goings is a good effort guy but he is not going to churn out 100 yards games consistently. He benefitted a lot from our revitalized passing game and Moose catching fire. Goings is never going to break off any big runs or move the pile. He is just a guy who hits the hole as hard as he can and does not avoid contact. That is nice to have in a backup but not as your starter. We plan to live and die by the run and we need a blue chipper in there.
