If Foster had ever had a season where he was the best or near the best in the league at his position that might be valid......

I loved that guy... loved loved loved Foster. I think he was just in the wrong offensive scheme. I hope he goes somewhere and does very, very well... and makes a lot more money.

    20/26 baby!

It'll only save us 1 million on the cap. He has been in the system which gives us 2 (Carr and Moore) that are not coming off injuries. That may increase his worth through mini camps etc. but I wouldn't bet on him being around long after that.

Funny enough, Foster ranks 8th for franchise career receiving.

Williams has been nice as a receiver, too.

Probably, but my point is that there is no rush. The cap savings are minimal. The roster spot isn't needed right now. Dropping him would leave only Moore to throw unless Basenez is recovered. If Bas isn't 100 % we'd still have have to sign another arm, like who?

Bas is supposed to be ready by camp. I would rather drop Carr and bring in a warm body at this point. I do not want it to be possible for Carr to somehow make the roster.

If Moore gets most of the snaps in the preseason I have no problem with it.

I have no problem with Carr throwing through all off season activities. Put the red jersey on him and let him have at it, let Moore develop as slowly as needed, and Jake and Bas heal. Cutting Carr just to cut him when he's one of the few QBs to have worked under our current OC doesn't seem wise to me. We need arms to deliver the ball during work outs. His will work, FOR NOW.
