I know it was time for him to go, but here's to 26 (or 20, at the time) for 2 of the greatest moments in Panthers' history.....

He looked all world for a brief time in 2003. It is too bad he never lived up to that. His injuries early on eventually took away a lot of his burst.

I am glad we are moving on though. If there is one thing this franchise does too much it is hang on to guys for too long. Timmy B, Dan Morgan, Foster, Colbert, etc.

We could have had a lot more cap room if we had simply signed two cornerstones in Peppers and Gross.

They need a back-up to Gore and I think Foster would be ideal for Martz

Hell yeah. Foster had his moments here with us. It's time for him to move on, but no one should forget his contributions. He was class, and worked hard here.

Foster will have no problem finding a team. Tampa Bay would be a good fit for him. He is the type running back that you are afraid to lose because you just know he will go somewhere else and finally live up to expectations.

For this year but they would eat up loads of cap space in future years if we gave them both huge deals. I am not sure either of them deserve it.

Is it really a matter of making room or just doing what was going to be done regardless? Is there a "room" issue this time of year?
